The picture cannot do the roof justice. Painted clay tiles cover the temple. Carved wood endpieces coated with gold leaf jut from the roof and if you look closely, you can see the small carved gold leaf animals also.
This is one of the "bell towers" the monks use to signify prayer time and such.
